Blue Devils Stumble on the Road, Fall 59-85 to No. 16 Eau Claire

The Bluegolds started the game on a 5-0 run and held multiple five point leads throughout the first quarter. The Blue Devils weathered the early storm and answered with an effective 3-point attack to tie the game at 31 with a minute to play in the half. Fueled by a 5-0 to close the half, UWEC connected on three-straight from distance to build a 47-36 lead. The Blugolds hit four more from the beyond the arc in the third to explode to 17-point lead after 30 minutes of play. The Blugolds shot 78.1 percent to score 32 points in quarter. Stout was unable to sustain a run in the fourth as UWEC kept the Blue Devils at arms length down the stretch to secure the win.

• Anna Mutch scored 15 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
• Allison Letcher was 5-8 from the field for 14 points.
• Jessie Ruden scored 18 points  and five rebounds for the Bluegolds.
