STEVENS POINT (September 21, 2022) -
Lauren Couves lost a tight match at No. 1 singles as UW-Stout lost at UW-Stevens Point, 9-0, in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) match Wednesday.
Couves bounced back from a first set 6-2 loss to take a 6-4 second set loss to the Pointers' Quinlyn Mack. Couves was edged out in the third set tie-breaker, 10-7.
At No. 6 singles, freshman
Lexie Stein took a 6-3 first set loss, then tightened up the strings before falling, 7-5, in the second set.
Stout returns to action Sunday, Oct. 2 at UW-La Crosse at noon at Green Island Tennis Park.
