LA CROSSE (October 2, 2022) - UW-Stout's
Lauren Couves and
Ellie Becker opened with a No. 1 doubles win over UW-La Crosse and Couves carried the momentum into her No. 1 singles match, taking the win as the Eagles carried a team women's tennis 7-2 win Sunday at Green Island Tennis Park.
Couves and Becker were the final doubles team off the court as the pair defeated Kellie Heirl and Katie Kearny 8-5.Â
Couves and Heirl were then the final singles team off the court as Couves defeated Heirl 6-3, 6-3, at No. 1 singles.
Becker fell in her No. 2 singles match, 6-2, 6-2, to Susi Hu.
Kyrstin Hanson dropped her No. 3 singles match, 6-1, 6-2.
Ashlyn Dellemann fell at No. 4 singles, 6-1, 6-2.
Madeline Binczak lost at the No. 5, 6-0, 6-0, and
Lexie Stein lost at No. 6 singles, 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles, Hanson and
Kylie Rennie lost at No. 2 doubles, 8-1, and
Ella Lamppa and Dellemann lost at No. 3 doubles, 8-2.
Stout returns to action Saturday, Oct. 8 at UW-River Falls at 11 a.m.
