MENOMONIE (July 8, 2022) - Seven UW-Stout members of the Blue Devil hockey team were selected as a Krampade All-American Scholars by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA).
Zack Cloutier (G, So, Barraute, Quebec),
Matt Dahlseide (F, So, Maplewood, Minn/St. Paul Academy),
Matt Flodell (F, Fr, Prince Albert, Sask/Carlton Comprehensive),
Peyton Hart (F, Fr, Delafield, Wis/Kettle Moraine),
John Jebamani (D, Fr, Winnepeg, Manitoba/St. Paul's),
Alex Nagel (F, Sr, Antigo) and
Tomi Varjonen (D, Sr, Helsinki, Finlandia) were honored by the association. Nagel and Varjonen received the award for the third time, and Dahlseide for the second time.
Cloutier is a health, wellness and fitness major, Dahlseide is a business administration major, Flodell is a mechanical engineering major, Hart is an applied science major, Jebamani is a business adminstration major, Nagel is a business administration major and Varjonen is a health, wellness and fitness major.
The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) is once again recognizing varsity ice hockey players who compiled exceptional results in the classroom during the 2021-22 season with the announcement of the sixth annual "Krampade All-American Scholars." To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester, and had to appear in 40% of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders.
The names of 647 Division II-III men (368) and women (279) are being released today, with their Division I counterparts to be announced in the coming weeks.
