UTICA, N.Y. – University of Wisconsin-Stout's Sebastian Monaco has been named a 2025-26 CCM/AHCA Men's Division III All-American.
A freshman All-WIAC goaltender from Caledon, Ontario, Monaco received CCM/AHCA West Second-Team All-American honors. He led the WIAC with a 1.91 goals-against average, a mark that ranks eighth nationally in NCAA Division III. He also topped the conference with a .939 save percentage, which ranks fifth in the nation. Monaco recorded three shutouts on the season, and his 15 wins are the most by a UW-Stout goaltender since the 2010-11 campaign.
Monaco has backstopped the Blue Devils to a historic season, helping lead Stout to its first outright WIAC regular season title, its first WIAC Tournament championship, and its first NCAA semifinal appearance since 2008-09. In last week's NCAA quarterfinal win over Utica, Monaco turned in a season-high 46 saves in a 5-1 victory over the Pioneers.
He becomes the first Blue Devil to earn All-American honors since Mathais Ahman in 2018.
