MENOMONIE (April 24, 2022) -Â UW-Stout swept UW-Platteville, 7-5 2-1, Sunday at Alumni Field

Lexy Kupczak had two home runs in the opener, a three-run shot in the third inning and a solo shot to lead off the fifth inning. Kupczak had an RBI double in the third inning to finish the game with 5 RBI, going 3 for 3 with three runs scored in the game.
In the second game,
Kaylee Peterson had an RBI double in the fourth inning to put Stout on the board.
Ashley Jacobson hit her first home run of the season, a shot to left field that just stayed fair.
The Pioneers scored in the seventh inning and had the tying run on third with two outs when second baseman
Katelyn Belleau threw out the final runner from her knees.
Madee Kleinschmidt recorded the win in game one and
Anna Blanford recorded the save. Kleinschmidt struck out three and Blanford had one strikeout. Blanford went the distance in the second game, scattering nine hits.
