Maksis Brimanis scored his first collegiate hat trick as the Blue Devils scored five straight goals to defeat River Falls 6-3 Saturday night.
After falling behind 1-0 midway through the first, The Blue Devils responded 42 seconds later to tie the game on Brimanis's first goal of the game. Later in the first,
Kullan Daikawa scored with a second left on the man advantage to give Stout the lead for good.
Brimanis scored his second of the night 6:19 into the second period when he took a pass from
Noe Perez and skated down the left side and snapped a shot past the River Falls netminder. Just a minute 26 seconds later
Caleb Serre tapped in a loose puck from a
Dylan Rallis shot to give the Blue Devils a 4-1 lead. Just under three minutes later Brimanis completed the hat trick give Stout the commanding lead.
River Falls battled back to try and make things interesting trimming the lead to 5-3. But
Peyton Hart scored a shorthanded goal into the empty net from his own zone to seal the game for the Blue Devils.
