The game started out with both teams trading baskets, but Stout quickly jumped out on a 10-4 run which saw the Blue Devils come out of the first quarter with a 17-11 lead.
Stout expanded their lead with a dominating second quarter. Stout came out roaring with a quick 16-4 run going into the media timeout. The Yellow Jackets would only find the basketball one more time that quarter. Stout outscored Superior 23-6 in the second quarter alone, holding the Yellow Jackets to 3 for 17 from the floor. The Blue Devils shot an impressive 7 for 11 including 2 for 3 three pointers.
Coming out of the half, the third quarter was similar to the second, with Stout continuing to expand their lead. Stout reached a huge lead of 30 during the third, but the Yellow Jackets slowly clawed back, and even outscored Stout in the fourth quarter 12-11. Stout was able to play some strong defense, forcing multiple shot clock violations, and held onto their lead to close out the game.

- Amanda Giesen recorded her first double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Anna Mutch scored 14 and Haylee Yaeger also added in 10 rebounds.

- The Yellow Jackets leading scorer was Kaelyn Christian with 9 points.
