The Blue Devils scored five goals, including three on the power play in a season opening 6-2 win over MSOE.
Kobe Keller had a goal and two assists and
Jacob Halvorson scored twice in the win.
The Blue Devils and Raiders battled scoreless for nearly 20 minutes before MSOE broke the ice with just 1:28 left in the first. MSOE then doubled their lead ninety seconds into the second.
Stout responded three minutes later with
Matt Dahlseide scored on the power play. The Blue Devils first of three goals with extra attacker.Â
Peyton Hart tied things up at two just six seconds after another Blue Devils power play expired.
Stout then scored twice on a five minute man advantage. Keller found the back of the net just seven seconds into the power play and
Jacob Halvorson extended the lead to 4-2 just three and half minutes later.Â
Peter Verstegen scored on a short handed breakaway with five minutes left in the second as all aspects of the Blue Devils special teams were on display.Â
Halvorson added an empty net goal late in the third.
Stout finished 3-9 on the power play attempting 15 shots. The Blue Devil defense kept MSOE 0-8 with the man advantage.Â
Tyler Masternak impressed in net making 28 saves on 30 shots to pick up the win. Â
