The Blue Devils fell in a five set match Wednesday night. Stout came out and controlled the first set, easily winning 25-18, Sydney Hoverman had seven of her team high 20 kills in the opening set. Stout withheld a late push in the second to take a 2-0 lead heading into the third. Stout lead 17-11, River Falls then went on a 10-2 run to take a 21-19 lead and went on to win 27-25. The momentum shifted and River Falls went onto win the fourth 25-15. The Falcons jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the fifth, But the Blue Devils battled back to tie the set at 12. But the Falcons scored the next three points to take the set and the win.Â
