Boone scores lone goal in loss to UW-La Crosse

Stout falls 7-1 to the Eagles

La Crosse (October 15, 2022) - Stout (1-11-3, 0-3-1) falls in road conference match against UW-La Crosse (13-1-1, 4-0-0). The Eagles come out fo the gates strong, scoring five goals in the first half, taking the 7-1 victory over the Blue Devils.

The Eagles got the scoring started off quickly. Claire Carter found the back of the net at the 10' mark. In the next five minutes, the Eagles scored a team goal and Carter found her second goal of the day, taking the lead 3-0.

Caylee Boone put an end to the Eagle's run, scoring a goal (fourth of the season) off a pass from Lauren Chukel at the 26' mark. The Eagles would score two more goals in the first half, making the score 5-1.

The Eagles added on two more goals in the second half, taking the match 7-1.

Julia McNamar played the first half in goal for the Blue Devils, recording 11 saves and allowing five goals. Lily Shield played the second half, recording five saves and two goals allowed. Marissa Steele had two shots on goal. Overall, Stout had six shots, four on goal. La Crosse had 34 shots, 22 on goal.

Stout will head to River Falls for their next conference match. The game starts at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19 in River Falls.
