MENOMONIE (October 12, 2022) – UW-Eau Claire (8-4-1, 2-1-0) scored in the 80th minute to top UW-Stout (1-10-3, 0-2-1) 1-0 Wednesday night at Nelson Field.
Both teams battled for 80 minutes and it looked like the match would end in a scoreless tie. The Blugolds Emma Stange shot from just outside the box looped over Stout's
Julia McNamar to give Eau Claire the lead.
McNamar faced nine shots, four on target, making three saves.
The Blue Devils pressured until the final horn, Stout's best chance came on a corner kick with less than forty seconds left,
but couldn't push anything past the Blugold netminder.
Stout finished with six shot attempts
