MENOMONIE (January 14, 2022) - UW-Stout scored four second period goals and went on to down Saint Mary's University, 6-3, Friday in non-conference hockey action at the Fanetti Community Center.

The Cardinals' (4-9-1) Laudon Poelinger scored 1:45 into the second period to break a 1-1 tie, but the Blue Devils (5-10-0) tied the game four minutes later to take advantage on the power play when
Peyton Hart scored and Hart's goal began Stout's offensive onslaught ast the Blue Devils would score the next four goals.

Noah Carson scored at 12:57 with assists by
Dylan Rallis and
Raphael Gosselin,
Mikey Butcher scored with an unassisted goal at 16:56 and
Matt Dahlseide completed the second period scoring at 18:44 with assists by
Hayden Clark and
Caleb Serre.

Gosselin, last week's WIAC player of the week, gave Stout a 6-2 lead midway through the third period, taking assists by
Logan Nelson and Rallis. The Cardinals Travor Paradise got a consolation goal at 16:08.
The teams matched goals in the first period. The Cardinals' drew first blood and scored quickly when Nick Kiemel scored only 1-minute, 56-seconds into the game. Stout tied the game when
Nick Bowlin scored his first collegiate goal at 16:15 of the first, with assists from
Brandon Connett and
Noe Perez.
Six different Blue Devils scored goals and Bowlin, Carson, Butcher and Dahlseide all scored their first goal of the season. Gosselin and Hart each scored their fifth goal of the season.Â
Seven different Blue Devils provided assists, with Rallis and Perez each tallying two assists. Clark's assist marked his first collegiate point.Â

Zack Cloutier recorded the win - his first of the season - making 34 saves. AJ Ruskowski took the loss for the Cardinals with 25 saves.
Stout will host St. Olaf College, Saturday, Jan. 15, at 7 p.m. then will stay home and return to conference play when they host Northland College Thursday, Jan. 20.Â
