MENOMONIE (September 27, 2021) - UW-Stout's Rocket League and Overwatch esports team earned commanding wins on Monday night, with the Rocket League team downing the University of Wisconsin and Overwatch defeating Missouri S&T Monday evening.
Passing proved to be a key in the Rocket League's 3-0 win over the Wisconsin Badgers, said Rocket League coach Kyle Gabel. "Tonight was a big game for us," Gabel said, "even tougher than last week, but the players were clean and had great passes."
The Overwatch team kept their playoff hopes alive with a convincing 3-0 win over Missouri S&T. The win provided a "morale booster" said Overwatch coach Toby Riedmann.
Overwatch is scheduled to take on Missouri Baptist University, Monday, Oct. 4 and Rocket League will take on Concordia-St. Paul that same evening.
