STEVENS POINT (April 17, 2021) -
Lauren Couves captured a straight-set win at No. 1 singles as UW-Stout competed at UW-Stevens Point, Saturday. The Pointers took the team win, 8-1.
Couves defeated Barbara Covek, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 1 singles.
Annie Sandry lost at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-1.
Mariah Kent lost 6-1, 6-0, at No. 3 singles.
Olivia Leipnitz dropped a 6-3, 6-2, decision at No. 4.
Kyrstin Hanson put up a big fight at No. 5, falling 6-4, 7-5. Madelne Binczak lost 6-1, 6-1, at No. 6.
The No. 1 team of Sandry and Couves last 9-3. Kent and Leipnitz lost at No. 2 doubles, 8-2. Hanson and
Kylie Rennie lost at No. 3, 8-1.
Stout will close out their 2021 regular season when the host UW-Eau Claire, Tuesday, April 20 at 4 p.m.
