St. Mary's University 5, UW-Stout 1

WINONA, Minn. (January 17, 2020) – UW-Stout scored the first goal of the game, but St. Mary's University scored the next five goals to take a 5-1 win over the Blue Devils Friday at St. Mary's Arena.

Stout freshman Peter Verstegen scored his second goal of the season at 9:26 of the first period, with an assist by Adam Kresl, for what would prove to be Stout's only goal of the game.

The Blue Devils (4-11-1) kept the Cardinals (7-6-1) off the board until the second period when Alex Rickoff and Ryan Stoynich scored in the second. The Cardinals' Ian Currie, Kyle Meeh and Alex DiBacco scored in the third period. Meeh's goal was short-handed.

Brady Meyers got his second start of the season, going the distance, recording 25 saves. Al Rogers recorded 21 saves for the Cardinals.
