LA CROSSE (April 29, 2018) - After being held to three hits in the first game, UW-Stout pounded out 15 hits in game two, but the end results was still the same as UW-Oshkosh swept the Blue Devils, 9-1, 10-5, Sunday at Copeland Park.

In the opener, the Titans (23-6, 10-4 WIAC) held an 8-0 lead into the seventh inning, scoring four times in the first, once in the second, once in the fifth and twice in the sixth before Stout (8-19, 5-11 WIAC) got on the board when Kasey Bass hit his second home run of the season for Stout's only run of the game.

In game two, the Titans scored three runs in the bottom of the first, but Stout retaliated with two runs in the top of the second. Bass opened the inning with an infield single. Following an out, Danny Deis drew a walk and Max Sires moved players on another infield single. Jordan Wilson drove in Bass and Deis with a single to left field.

Oshkosh made it 4-2 with a run in the bottom of the second, then added two runs in the  third and another in the fourth to stretch the lead to 6-2. Deis lifted a sacrifice fly to center field to cut the deficit to 6-3.

The Titans got one run back in the bottom half of the inning, but Stout added two runs in the seventh inning. Wilson opened with an infield hit, then moved to third on Jack Hemsath's double down the right field line. Wilson and Hemsath came home when Ben Vanhove tripled down the left field line. Oshkosh closed out the scoring with a single run in the each of the seventh and eighth innings.

Bass was 6-for-9 in the two games, going 2-for-3 with an RBI in game one and 4-for-5 in the second game. Wilson was 2-for-5 in game two with two RBI. Hemsath was 3-for-5 in the second game.
