North Park University 16, UW-Stout 7
FORT MEYERS, FL (March 14, 2018) - After an off day in Florida, the UW-Stout baseball team lost to North Park University by the score of 16-7.
The Vikings opened the game with three runs in the top of the first inning. Stout did not back down as the Blue Devils scored three runs themselves in the bottom of the second inning to tie the game at 3-3.
North Park answered in the top of the third with two runs to take the lead over the Blue Devils.
The Vikings went into cruise control as they scored in every inning until the eighth inning. North Park scored three in the fourth, three in the fifth, four in the sixth, and one in the seventh.
The Blue Devils found some life in the bottom of the ninth, but it was too late.
Max Sires receives the loss going four innings while allowing eight runs on eight hits. Sires also had six strikeouts and three walks.
Paul Danczyk,
Logan Hile, and
James Palmer each had an inning.
Hunter Black closed the game with two innings while allowing no hits and no runs.
Jared Jarvensivu,
Jordan Wilson, and
Ben Vanhove each had two hits a piece. Vanhove also accounted for a triple in the game.
Jon Krueger and
Sam Waters each had two RBI's.
The Blue Devils will look to get back in the win column as they take on Lakeland University on Thursday, March 15 at Terry Park in Fort Meyers, FL.
