Elliott's career-high not enough, Stout downed by La Crosse

LA CROSSE (February 14, 2018) - Isaac Elliott scored a career-high 27 points, but it wouldn't be enough to push UW-Stout over UW-La Crosse as the Eagles defeated the Blue Devils, 76-57, Wednesday at Mitchell Hall.
 
Elliott shot 6-of-13 from the floor, 3-of-6 from 3-point range and shot 12-of-12 from the free throw line, tying the school record for free throw percentage. Earlier in the season against UW-Eau Claire, Elliott drained 10-of-10 free throws.
 
Elliott was the only Blue Devil in double digits.
 
Ben Meinholz notched a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.  Taulvish McCray  added 16 points and Brendon Manning 10 points. The Eagles outrebounded Stout, 36-23.

The loss knocked Stout out of contention for the WIAC playoffs. Stout will close the season by hosting UW-Oshkosh, Saturday, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m.
