Blue Devils hold off Wildcats to record second straight win

RIVER FALLS (November 16, 2018) - Amber Fabeck scored a career-high 22 points and UW-Stout had to hold off St. Catherine in the fourth quarter to cling to a 58-54 win Friday in the opening game of the UW-River Falls tournament.
 
Stout (2-0) outscored the Wildcats 19-8 in the third quarter to overcome a 26-25 halftime deficit. The Wildcats (0-2) outscored Stout 20-14 in the fourth quarter.
 
Fabeck scored Stout's last eight points of the game, but Stout's final field goal of the night came with just over two minutes left in the contest.

Bailey Diersen contributed 18 points for the Blue Devils, hitting only three shots from the floor, but was 10 of 12 from the free throw line. The Blue Devils were 21 of 26 from the lin. 
 
The Wildcats' Audra Clark scored 28 points to lead all scorers.

Stout will play St. Olaf College at 1 p.m. Saturday.
