Stout scores all they need in first for win over Lawrence

APPLETON (November 16, 2018) - UW-Stout scored three goals in the last five minutes of the first period and the remainder of the game was scoreless as the Blue Devils defeated Lawrence University, 3-0, Friday at the Appleton Ice Center.
 
Lucas Carroll got things going at 15:40 of the first period on a shorthanded goal. At 18:27 freshman Logan Nelson scored  and at 18:48 Jack Cernohous wrapped up what would be the scoring for the rest of the night.
 
Tommi Ahlgren recorded 32 saves for the Blue Devils and Evan Cline had 26 for the Vikings.
 
Stout went 0 for 5 on the power play and Lawrence was 0 for 8 as Stout took 13 penalties for 26 minutes and Lawrence took nine penalties for 18 minutes.
 
Stout will be at Marian University, Saturday, Nov. 17 at 5 p.m.
