Blue Devils take 4-1 win over Gustavus Adolphus

MENOMONIE (November 10, 2018) – UW-Stout scored four consecutive goals and went on to a 4-1 non-conference win over Gustavus Adolphus College Saturday at the Fanetti Community Center.
 
Following a scoreless first period, Stout's Alex Toscano scored at 6:09 of the period and Mathias Ahman followed suit at 7:58 to give Stout a 2-0 lead.
 
Alex Nagel scored his first collegiate goal at 9:50 of the third period and Logan Nelson recorded a power play goal at 14:23 to give Stout a 4-0 lead. Ahman assisted on Toscano and Nagel's goals.
 
The Gusties Caleb Anderson scored at 17:18 to break up the shutout.
 
The Blue Devils nearly doubled up the Gusties in shots, outshooting their guest 35-20. Stout's Tommi Ahlgren picked up the win by recording 19 saves. Chris Amsden had 31 saves.
 
Stout returns to action Friday, Nov. 16 when they travel to Lawrence University.
