OSHKOSH (October 6, 2018) - UW-Stout's
Sydney Kasper tied the score in the 31st minute, but UW-Oshkosh's Mallory Knight scored her second goal of the afternoon in the 54th minute and the Titans hung on for a 2-1 win over the Blue Devils Saturday.
Knight opened the scoring in the 17th minute, but Kasper evened the score for Stout (2-9-1, 0-3-0 WIAC), taking a pass in the box from
Marissa Steele.
The game was scoreless until Knight netted the eventual game winner early in the second half.
The Titans (5-6-1, 2-1-0 WIAC) had a 26-8 advantage in total shots and a 10-4 bulge in shots on goal.
Claudia Anderson recorded eight saves for the Blue Devils and the Titans' Erin Toomey had three saves.
For Kasper, it was her fifth goal of the season and the 25th goal of her career, moving her to sixth on the all-time goals list and seventh on the all-time points list with 61.
Stout will take a week break from competition, and will host UW-Platteville, Saturday, Oct. 13 for Senior Day and Alumni Day.
