Amber Ripley tallied 34 total kills over two matches as the Blue Devils split a pair of matches at the Concordia-Wis Invitational Friday.
Ripley recorded 14 kills in a 3-2 win over Cardinal Stritch in the tournament opener, then pounded out a career-best 20 kills in a 3-2 loss to Concordia.
The Blue Devils (13-12) fell behind 2-0 in both games, but rallied back to tie both matches by winning sets three and four. The Blue Devils defeated Cardinal Stritch, 20-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-15, 15-9 and lost to Concordia, 25-22, 25-18, 25-27, 23-25, 15-12
Kennedy Strain had 16 kills in the opener and 11 in the second match. Stephanie Cannon had 37 digs in match one and 16 in match two.
Lexie Nelson had three solo blocks against Stritch and added a block assist against the Falcons.
Anna Hall had four block assists against Concordia.
Jessica DuVal finished the day with 79 total assists and 14 kills and was named to the all-tournament team.
Stout will be at Lakeland University Saturday where they will play Concordia-Chicago and Lakeland.
