UW-Stout 3, UW-River Falls 1

RIVER FALLS (October 10, 2018) - UW-Stout had four players in double digits as the Blue Devils defeated UW-River Falls, 3-1, Wednesday. The Blue Devils notched a 25-16, 25-19, 18-25, 25-13 win.
 
Kara Simonson slammed down a career-best 19 kills, hitting at a .450 clip, committing only one error in 40 attempts. Freshman Lexie Nelson recorded 18 kills, and added four service aces, while McKylie Hoff had 11 kills and Kennedy Strain 10. Strain had one solo block and three block assists.
 
Steph Cannon had 31 digs and Emily Makina added 23.
 
Karli Nielsen had 12 kills to lead the Falcons and Hannah Striggow added 11 kills.

The three conference wins already exceeds the number of conference wins last season and matches the conference total from two years ago.

Stout will be at nationally ranked UW-Whitewater, Saturday, Oct. 13 at noon. The Blue Devils will also play Edgewood College on Saturday at 2 p.m.
