Concordia-Wisconsin 3, UW-Stout 0
OSHKOSH (September 9, 2017) - After getting back to .500 on the first day of the UW-Oshkosh Pizza Hut Classic, UW-Stout were tripped up by Concordia-Wisconsin, 3-0, in the Blue Devils' final match of the tournament.
Stout used a pair of 3-0 wins on the opening day to get to a 3-3 overall record, but the tables were turned as the Falcons captured a 25-11, 25-22, 25-15 win to push Stout to 3-4 overall.
Stout finished the three-set match with only 24 kills, with
Emili Cain (Fr, Corcoran, Minn) leading Stout with seven kills. Stout was held to a .056 hitting percentage.
Middle hitter
Kennedy Strain (Jr, Elk River, Minn) was selected to the all-tournament team. The junior finished the tournament with 30 kills, averaging 3.33 kills per set.
Stout will be at UW-Superior, Tuesday, Sept. 12 and will open the home portion of the season when they host Bethel University Friday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m.
