THIS WEEK'S GAMES: The Blue Devils (6-10, 0-0 WIAC) will head to Minnesota to play the University of Northwestern Eagles Saturday, April 1, at 1 p.m.  and then to Iowa to take on the Wartburg College Knights Sunday April 2 beginning at 2 p.m. Stout is coming off losses from their Illinois trip against Lake Forest College, Concordia-Illinois and Elmhurst College. Stout will look to bounce back on this quick road trip before playing their first home game on April 8 when they host Crown College at 1 p.m. at Alumni Field.

UW-STOUT: Rachel Thomas and Kyncaide Diedrich are the only two players to see action in all 16 games so far this season. Diedrich, who is playing softball for the first time at the collegiate level, is a known commodity to the Blue Devil women's basketball team where she earned all-conference honorable mention honors. Diedrich has been playing some outfield, some middle infield and has thrown one game. Diedrich is batting .385 (15-39) with two triples and a home run. She leads the team in stolen bases, nabbing 7-of-8, and is second in the WIAC in runs scored with 13. Beth Wood is second on the team in batting average at .381 in 15 games (16-42). Wood also has posted a 4-4 record from the circle, leading the team in strikeouts with 24, and notching a 3.60 ERA. Seven Blue Devils are hitting over .300 in 10 or more games this season.  | 2017 Statistics

BLUE DEVILS LAST TIME OUT:  In their trip to the Chicago area, the Blue Devils couldn't grab a win. In the double-header against Lake Forest, Stout found themselves close in the first game after Jessica Daley (Fr, Streamwood, Ill) drove in a run in the top of the seventh to give UW-Stout a 4-3 lead, but host Lake Forest College scored three runs in the bottom of the seven to defeat the Blue Devils 6-4. The second game dropped the second game, 8-2. The Blue Devils could barely buy a run on the second day of their Chicago swing, falling 10-0 to Concordia-Illinois and 4-1 to Elmhurst College.  |  Game Story and Statistics

UNIVERSITY OF NORTHWESTERN: The Eagles sit at 3-9 on the season, grabbing wins from Rose-Hulman Institute, Immaculata University, and Juniata University, each game decided by 3 runs or less. Abbie Nelson has been the Eagles' best pitcher so far this season, grabbing one win and sporting a 2.53 ERA and notching 13 strikeouts. | 2017 Statistics

WARTBURG COLLEGE: Wartburg has 11 wins and five losses on the season, winning six of eight games in the trip to Clearmont, Fla. including a 23-0 win against Cabrini University. Kaylee O'Brien and Mara Forsyth lead the Knights, each hitting over .400 in 16 games. O'Brien has a .510 on base percentage, notching a team leading 24 hits, including four doubles, and 11 RBIs. Forsyth hits for power, smacking two homeruns, and and bringing in 22 runs on the season. In the circle, Kimberly Wedeking has an 8-2 record, including 43 Ks in 59.1 innings pitched. | 2017 Statistics
