Hey Blue Devil Nation!
My name is
Talli Roth, and I am a freshman catcher majoring in Health, Wellness, and Fitness with a minor in coaching.
This past week, we have been working hard at practice and in the weight room as we prepare for our fall games. We are now about a month into practice and are really starting to come together as a team. We have also been doing team bonding activities and getting to know each other better both on and off the field.
In preparation for our fall games, practices have been filled with high energy and competition as we continue to push each other to be the best we can be. On October 10th, we played our fall games, and as a program, we had a very successful day. We split into two teams, with each team playing three games against Macalester, St. Scholastica, and Superior. Overall, across both teams, we went 5-1.
It was a great day full of competition, and we had a lot of fun being able to play a few games and wrap up our fall season!
Hey Blue Devils Fans!
My name is
Caleigh Hoefs, and I am a freshman pitcher and first baseman. I am a Criminal Justice and Rehabilitation major, hoping to one day be a detective.
So far, these first five weeks of classes have been full of new experiences, challenges, and excitement. At first, meeting new people and finding classes seemed scary, but even just five weeks later, I am confidently walking around and loving it here. Each week has brought something different, from finding the right classroom to learning the pace of classes and how to balance homework and softball. While there have been some adjustments, the small victories and friendly faces have made me feel like I belong at Stout.
As a freshman, I have some general education classes, communications and composition. While I prefer my major classes, the teachers here have made them interesting and exciting! My major-focused classes, victimology, psychology, and sociology have challenged my thinking and made me excited to continue my path in criminal justice. Overall, school has been going great, and I am looking forward to finishing my first semester and seeing where Criminal Justice takes me.
Thank you for taking time out of your day to hear about ours! Go Blue Devils!
