EAU CLAIRE (October 6, 2017) - UW-Stout blocked well and took 15th-ranked Millikin University to four sets before falling 25-18, 25-19, 27-29, 25-21 to the Big Blue Friday at the Sandy Schumacher Memorial at UW-Eau Claire's McPhee Center.

Kennedy Strain's three solo blocks and five assisted blocks, the Blue Devils turned Millikin into 29 attack errors, including 12 in the marathon third set that Stout won 29-27, matching the longest set of the season so far. Stout had four solo blocks and 14 assisted blocks.
The Blue Devils (6-13) got 14 kills from freshman
Amber Ripley, the most kills Ripley has recorded in a four-set match this season. Freshman

Ashley Pratt finished the match with nine kills.
Millikin (15-4) got double-digit kills from three players, wiht Erin Syversen leading the way with 20 kills. Alora Goodey had 17 and Emily Seegmiller finished with 11 kills.
The Blue Devils will face the College of St. Benedict and the College of St. Scholastica, Saturday, Oct. 7.
