UW-Stout 3, Gustavus Adolphus College 3
ST. PETER, Minn (January 7, 2017) - Gustavus Adolphus College scored two goals in the third period to forge a 3-3 with visiting UW-Stout Saturday at Don Roberts Arena.
The Blue Devils (7-7-1) scored first in the game when
Colton Brausen scored only three minutes into the game. The Gusties' Alex Koopmeiners tied the score in the 12th minute of the opening period, but Stout's
Nolan Kirley scored his first goal of the season with less than two minutes left in the first period to give Stout a 2-1 lead.
Stout took a 3-1 lead on
Austin Jackson's first collegiate goal seven minutes into the second period.
The Gusties (1-8-4) tied the score with two third period goals by Colin Hernon and Reid Brown just over a minute apart with less than seven minutes remaining.
Tommi Ahlgren made a season-high 45 saves for the Blue Devils.
Erik Johnson had 27 saves for the Gusties.
Stout will be at the University of St. Thomas, Friday, Jan. 13, then return home the following night to host Saint Mary's University.
