MENOMONIE (January 11, 2017) - UW-Stout couldn't find the basket, shooting only 38.6 percent from the field on the game, as the Stevens Point Pointers took the win in Johnson Fieldhouse on Dewey Mintz Court. Stout's Jenna Goldsmith scored 13 points, grabbed eight boards, and blocked two shots.

Goldsmith got off to a good start, as she scored the first point of the contest on an assist from Carolyn Feddema. Stevens Point (10-4, 2-1 WIAC) then responded with a jumper from Lauren Anklam to tie the game 2-2. Point would hold the lead from then on. Point would continue to hold an average 10 point lead throughout the first half.

Stout (5-9, 1-2 WIAC) dug into the lead in the begging of the second quarter, bringing the game to within seven on a Goldsmith three pointer, but Point again jumped on the gas, going on a few runs to finish the game on top, 80-57.

Kyncaide Diedrich scored 10 and dropped four assists on the game.

Autumn Hennes scored 17 to lead the game for the Pointers.

The Blue Devils will face off against the La Crosse Eagles in La Crosse at 3 p.m. on Saturday January 14.
