MENOMONIE (April 10, 2016) - UW-Oshkosh used the long ball in the second game to complete a sweep over UW-Stout Sunday at Nelson Field. The Titans had four home runs in game two for a 13-3 seven-inning win. The Titans used a big fourth inning to down Stout, 13-7, in the first game.
In the opener, the Blue Devils (7-8,1-3 WIAC) struck first when
Noah Brown doubled home
Josh Halling. The Titans (7-9, 3-1 WIAC) tied the score in the third.
Stout seemingly took some semblance of control in the fourth inning, scoring four runs, with three of them coming when the Titans' left fielder misplayed
Tyler Nalbach's fly ball.
But the Titans grabbed the lead with a six run fourth. Taylor Grimm drove in a pair of runs, as did Johnny Eagan. The Titans weren't finished, adding a single run in the sixth and three in the seventh to take an 11-5 lead. Stout added two runs in the eighth, but the Titans closed out the inning with two runs in their half of the stanza.
Stout's
Noah Brown, who would go 4-for-8 on the day, was 3-for-5 for the Blue Devils.
Josh Halling was 2-for-4. Eagan recorded three RBI for the Titans. Jack Paulson and Taylor Grimm each had two RBI.
In game two, the Titans hit four home runs, with Taylor Grimm hitting two. Grimm finished the game hitting 3-for-4 with 7 RBI. Grimm had a two run single in the third, a two run HR in the fifth and a three run HR in the sixth.

Jesse Sustachek had a no hitter going into the sixth when Stout got their first hits of the game. The Blue Devils broke up the shutout with three runs in the seventh.
Stout will be at St. Olaf, Thursday, April 14 for a single nine inning game. Stout will host UW-Stevens Point, Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17.
