MENOMONIE (November 19, 2016) - UW-Stout put on an offensive show and was able to hold a lead against Robert Morris to get their second win of the season and finish the Tip Off Classic on a high note, on Dewey Mintz Court in Johnson Fieldhouse. John Keefe was all over the court, scoring 24 points, grabbing eight rebounds and dishing seven assists; Isaac Elliott also scored the ball well, finishing with19 points, dropping 17 in the first half.

The Blue Devils relied on the three point arch early in the game, shooting 79 percent (11-of-14) in the first half. Keegan Dickson got the party started from the arch with a 3 dished from Keefe. Dickson was found in the gym working on his shot last night after Stout's 70-50 loss to Hope College, his practice must have paid off. Stout gained the lead, 7-6 at the 17-minute mark, and did not give up a lead for the rest of the game. They stretched out their lead to 15 late in the first period as Elliot drained what was one of five three pointers in the first half, he hit three in a row at one point.

The second half continued much of the same for Stout, playing good defense and scoring baskets when it counted. Robert Morris fought back towards the end with a few late-game threes, but the Blue Devils bared down and got the win.

Stout finished with five players in double digits, Keefe (24), Elliott (19), Dickson (16), Sam Ortmann (10) and John Lahti (10), and racked up 21 assists in the game, dropping passes for easy lay-ups all game. Elliott's 19 points was a career-high.

Robert Morris' Antonio Levy was the game leading scorer with 27 points, hitting six 3-pointers, and one late in the game to bring to game to within three points. Darius Paul also scored well for Robert Morris, with 22 points and had nine rebounds.

Stout will continue their home streak next week against UW-Superior (MIAC) on Dewey Mintz Court in Johnson Fieldhouse at 7 p.m.
