LA CROSSE (October 7, 2016) -
Anna Lano picked up UW-Stout's lone win as the Blue Devils were topped at UW-La Crosse, 8-1, Friday during a breezy and cool afternoon.
Lano, playing at No. 6 singles, defeated Ali Bublitz, 6-3, 6-4. All other Stout singles players lost their matches in straight sets.Â
The No. 1 doubles team of Lano and
Linsey Thisius lost 8-3 and the No. 3 doubles team of
Katie Kreibich and
Annie Sandry lost by an identical 8-3 score. The No. 2 doubles team of
Emma Pedersen and
Jenna Welke took their match almost as far as they could, falling 8-6.
The Blue Devils (5-5, 2-2 WIAC) will wrap up the regular season at home, hosting UW-Oshkosh, Friday, Oct. 14 and UW-Whitewater, Saturday, Oct. 15
