UW-Eau Claire 1, UW-Stout 0
EAU CLAIRE (October 29, 2016) - UW-Eau Claire scored what would prove to be the game-winning-goal with just over 10 minutes left in regulation as UW-Stout lost to the Blugolds 1-0 Saturday at Bollinger Soccer Fields.
The Blugolds' Caroline Henderson scored in the 80th minute, with an assist by Bailee Hyde.
Despite the loss, the Blue Devils will still host a first round WIAC Championship game. The Blue Devils earned the fourth seed and will host UW-Oshkosh, Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 2 p.m. at Nelson Field.
The Blugolds held a 15-5 advantage in overall shots. Stout's
Lynn Johnson recorded six saves, while the Blugolds' Samantha Lefaive made three saves.Â
