MENOMONIE (October 14, 2016) - UW-Oshkosh took the top two singles matches and the top two doubles matches to key a slim 5-4 win over UW-Stout Friday at the UW-Stout South Courts.
The Blue Devils (4-5, 2-3 WIAC) got on the board at No. 3 doubles when
Katie Kreibich and Annie Sundry defeated Ashlee Polena and Hannah Nauth, 8-4.
Kreibich played a marathon at No. 3 singles, downing Hannah Peters, 7-6, (7-3), 3-6, 10-7 and the match was the final contest off the court in the fleeting light.
Stout also captured singles matches at No. 4 when
Jenna Welke defeated Annie Docter, 6-0, 7-5, and at No. 6 where
Katie Govin defeated Monica Micoliczyk, 6-1, 6-2.
Stout will host UW-Whitewater, Saturday, Oct. 15 at 9:30 a.m. in the final regular season match of the season.
