WHITEWATER (October 1, 2016) – UW-Stout faced the no. 9 ranked UW-Whitewater on the road Saturday.
The Blue Devils (2-6-1, 0-1-0 WIAC) were able to hold Whitewater (11-1-0, 1-0-0 WIAC) scoreless until the 37th minute mark in the first half.

In the first half, Whitewater's Marie Lesperance and Brianna Ried scored in the 37
th and 41
st minutes to make it 2-0 in what would prove to be the final score.
The Blue Devils recorded four of their six shots in the first half, but were unable to find the net.
The Blue Devil defense was stout in the second half, not allowing a score to the Warhawks, but once again the offense could not find the net.
Stout stays in conference play when they host UW-River Falls, Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m.
