UW-Oshkosh 67, UW-Stout 42 (Box Score)OSHKOSH (January 23, 2016) - UW-Stout could not get their offensive in gear in the first half, and the hole the Blue Devils dug was too deep to get out as UW-Oshkosh defeated the Blue Devils, 67-42, at Kolf Sprts Center Saturday.
The Blue Devils (4-12, 0-6 WIAC) shot only 17.2 percent in the first half, while the Titans (11-6, 4-2 WIAC) hit on 50 percent of their first half shots to take a 37-12 halftime lead.
Stout was able to make some adjustments in the second half as both teams scored 30 second half points. The Blue Devils improved their game from the floor, hitting 48 percent of their second half shots.
The Titans' Alex Olson had a monster game, dropping 27 points, 20 in the first half. Ben Boots contributed 11 for the Titans.
Stout was led by
John Keefe with 10 points.
Stout will be at UW-Stevens Point, Wednesday, Jan. 27 before returning home to face UW-Eau Claire Saturday, Jan. 30 as the WIAC begins its second loop of play.
