Stout scores six wins third in a row against St. Mary's

UW-Stout 6, St. Mary's 3

WINONA (January 16, 2016) - UW-Stout's offense was on fire. This was the third game in which they scored five or more goals. They were led by Jake Useldinger who scored two goals for his seventh and eighth goals on the season.

The puck was spread all around the ice as the Blue Devils (9-4-3) had eight different players with assists. They opened the game behind after a goal from St. Mary's (7-8-2) Dylan Dock scored an even strength three minutes into the first period. They then turned on the gas, scoring two goals at the 9:41 and 10:58 mark. The first was scored on a power play by Joe Kleven and the second at even strength by Tom Schmidt.

The second period included more scoring. Justin Moody scored on a pass from Shayne McLaughlin in the first minute of the period. The Blue Devils also scored in the last minute of the period. Useldinger scored a power play goal on passes from Riley Colvard and Craig Lindegard.

The final period included two empty net goals within 30 seconds of each other that came from Useldinger and Nolan Kirley. The Blue Devils ended the game on top 6-3.

Stout looks to keep up their winning ways as they play their next two games at home games against non-conference opponents St. Scholastica on Tuesday Jan. 19 at 7:30 p.m. and UW-Superior on Thursday Jan. 21 again at 7:30 p.m.
