MENOMONIE (January 19, 2016) - UW-Stout outshot the College of St. Scholastica by a 2-to-1 margin, but the Saints took advantage of the power play and the teams played to a 3-3 draw Tuesday at the Fanetti Community Center.

Stout (9-4-4) got on the board first, but it wouldn't be until the second period when the Blue Devils came out of the locker room firing. It took team captain Justin Moody (Jr, Grand Forks, ND) only 29 seconds to find the back of the net, with assists by Shayne McLaughlin (Jr, Eau Claire) and Joe Anderson (Fr, Side Lake, Minn).

The Saints (9-4-2) would answer back soon when they got their first of two power play goals, this one coming at 3:21 of the second period by Keegan Bruce. The Saints would take the lead for the only time of the game when Justin Krabben scored in the 16th minute of the second period.

The Blue Devils tied the score when Joe Kleven (Fr, Shakopee, Minn) scored a minute into the third period, with assists from Jake Useldinger (Sr, East Grand Forks, Minn) and Craig Lindegard (Jr, Hallock, Minn).

Stout took the lead at 14:14 when Dylan Zins scored on a breakaway, but a penalty minutes later on the Blue Devils and the Saints capitalized when Brandon Millin scored on the advantage.

The Saints' Tyler Bruggeman recorded 39 saves, while Stout's Spencer Viele (Jr, Wildwood, Mo) recorded 18 saves.

Stout returns to action Thursday, Jan. 21 when they host UW-Superior at 7:30 p.m. in a non-conference contest.
