Tennis team takes 7-2 win over Alverno College

GLENDALE (April 11, 2015) - UW-Stout was ever so close to taking an 8-1 win over Alverno College Saturday, but settled for a 7-2 win at the Nicolet High School courts.
 
The No. 1 doubles team of Danielle Lutz and Emma Pedersen dropped a narrow 9-8 (7-5) decision.  Pedersen had the longest day for the Blue Devils. Her win at No. 2 singles went to three sets, but she prevailed 6-2, 3-6, 10-5.

The Blue Devils breezed through singles, with Jenna Welke takinga  6-0, 6-1, win at No. 3, Danielle Lutz a 6-1, 6-2, at No. 4, Jolene Ladewig a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 5 and Brianna Buhl a 6-1, 6-1, win at No. 6.

Kelsey Pedersen and Welke combined for an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles and Buhl and Miller captured an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles.

The Blue Devils will stay in the Milwaukee area, playing Beloit College and North Park University, Sunday, April 12.
