UW-La Crosse 5, UW-Stout 0LA CROSSE (April 11, 2015) - UW-Stout could not get a run across the plate in either game and fell to UW-La Crosse twice, 2-0, 5-0, Saturday.
Stout stranded seven runners in the first game and six runners in the second game. The Blue Devils (8-18, 0-6 WIAC) collected five hits in the first game and seven hits in the second game. The Eagles (16-6, 2-0 WIAC) had five hits in game one and six hits in game two. The Blue Devils had no errors in the first game, but were tagged with four in the second game.
The Eagles' pitcher Megan Nelson helped her own cause in the opening game, hitting a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth to give La Crosse a 1-0 lead. The Eagles plated their other run in the sixth inning on Emilie Wiltzius' fielders choice.
Stout's
Tori Workman (Jr, Prior Lake, Minn) put together a solid performance in the circle, throwing six innings, striking out six and walking two, while allowing five hits.
In the second game, the Eagles got all of their runs in the first two innings, pounding out four runs on four hits, aided by a Stout error. The Eagles left the bases loaded in the inning. La Crosse took advantage of two Stout errors in the second inning, scoring what would prove to be the final run of the game.

Taylor Workman (Sr, Prior Lake, Minn) was 2-for-3 in both games.
