UW-Stevens Point 3, UW-Stout 2 (OT)STEVENS POINT (February 7, 2015) - UW-Stout jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but UW-Stevens Point came back to score two goals in the third period, sending the game into overtime where the third-ranked Pointers scored 47 seconds into the extra period for a 3-2 win Saturday at KB Willett Arena.
Jordan Stejskal (Fr, Cohasset,Minn) put the Blue Devils (8-12-1, 3-5-0 WIAC) on the board first, scoring at the 15:01 mark of the first period, getting assists from
Joey Haydock (So, Junction City) and
Justin Moody (So, Grand Forks, ND). The Blue Devils doubled up the score at 16:25 of the second period on a goal by
Jake Useldinger (East Grand Forks, Minn), who was assisted by
Derek Sand (West Fargo, ND) and
Jordan Tredinnick (Sr, Onalaska).
Chase Hollander (So, Random Lake), who would make 44 saves on the night, did not allow a goal until 1:23 of the third period when Joe Kalisz pierced the armour. The Pointers tied the score late in the period, taking advantage of rare penalty when Eliot Grauer scored on the power play at 17:59.

The third-ranked Pointers (16-4-0, 7-1-0 WIAC) got the game-winner 47 seconds the the extra period when Lawrence Cornellier scored.
Hollander recorded 15 saves in both the first and third periods, and had 14 saves in the second period. Brandon Jaeger notched 17 saves for the Pointers. With only four total penalties whistled throughout the evening, power play opportunities were low. Stout was 0-for-1, while the Pointers were 1-for-3.
Stout will host UW-River Falls, Friday, Feb. 13 and Saturday, Feb. 14.
