MENOMONIE (November 14, 2015) - The University of Minnesota Crookston found their range against UW-Stout, and their range was long distance as the Golden Eagles connected on 13 3-pointers on their way to a 74-51 win over the Blue Devils Saturday at Johnson Fieldhouse.

The NCAA Division II Golden Eagles (1-1) hit on 13-of-25 long range shots, shooting.520 from beyond the arc. For the game, Crookston hit 26-of-49 shots (.531).

The Blue Devils (0-1) could not find the range from 3-point range. After making three shots past the 3-point line in the first half (3-for-9), they missed all three attempts in the second half, finishing at 3-of-12 (.250). From the field, Stout connected on 23-of-57 (.404) and did not have a player reach double digits in scoring.

Crookston was led by Derrick Redd and Chase Knickerbocker, who both tallied 15 points. Redd was especially deadly with the 3-point shot, hitting 5-of-7 shots for all of his points. Knickerbocker was 3-of-5 from long distance and 6-of-8 overall. Ben Grygiel added 13 points, including two 3-pointers.

Keegan Dickson led Stout with seven points, five coming in the first half. Brett Ahsenmacher had six points, both from 3-point range.

Stout did hold an advantage off the glass, pulling down 32 boards, compared to 28 for Crookston.

Stout will be at the Wartburg College Tournament, Nov. 20-21 and will face Monmouth College, Friday, Nov. 21.
