Warhawks score three in first period, down Stout 4-1

MENOMONIE (October 24, 2015) - Twenty-third ranked UW-Whitewater scored three times in the first half and went on to a 4-1 win over UW-Stout Saturday at Nelson Field.
 
Carly Pottle scored in the 21st minute and Brianna Reid scored her 17th goal of the season in the 22nd minute. Karina Rosales scored in the 39th minute.
 
Stout got on the board in the 76th minute when Jenna Kizlik floated a shot from about 25 yards out over the goalkeeper's outstretched hands.
 
The Warhawks answered that goal in the 82nd minute on a goal by Kara Jahn.
 
Whitewater outshot Stout, 22-6, overall. The Warhawks put 14 shots on goal to three for the Blue Devils.

Stout will close out the home schedule when they host Minnesota-Morris, Sunday, Oct. 25 at 2:30 p.m.
