UW-Whitewater 9, UW-Stout 0WHITEWATER (October 17, 2015) - UW-Whitewater clinched at least a share of the regular season conference championship with a 9-0 win over UW-Stout Saturday.
The Warhawks (10-0, 5-0 WIAC) used straights sets winning all six singles matches and held Stout (4-7, 1-5 WIAC) to only two games in doubles competition.
Linsey Thisius (Fr, Wells, Minn) lost, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 3 singles and
Katie Kreibich (Fr, Woodbury, Minn), after getting blanked the first set, picked up three games in the 6-3 second set loss at No. 6 singles.
Stout will next compete at the WIAC Tennis Championships, Oct. 24-25 at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison. Seedings for the meet will be announced early this next week.
