Blue Devil netters edged, 5-4, by UW-Oshkosh

OSHKOSH (October 16, 2015) - UW-Stout won two doubles matches, but UW-Oshkosh won four singles matches and edged the Blue Devils, 5-4, Friday.

Anna Lano (Sr, Chaska, Minn) and Linsey Thisius (Fr, Wells, Minn) defeated Shauna Stoffregen and Sophie Pitz, 8-6, at No. 2 doubles and Danielle Lutz (Sr, Maple Grove, Minn) and Kelsey Pedersen (Sr, Lake Elmo, Minn) defeated Hannah Nauth and Paige Kloth, 8-4, at No. 3 doubles.

Three of the six singles matches went to three sets, including Lano's win at No. 5 singles over Ashlee Polena, 7-6 (9-7), 6-7 (5-7), 6-3.

Emma Pedersen lost at No. 2 singles to Paige Ganser, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, and Thisius lost to Sophie Pitz, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1.

Katie Kriebich (Fr, Woodbury, Minn) picked up Stout's second singles win, downing Paige Kloth, 6-4, 6-3, at No. 6 singles.

The Blue Devils will close out the regular season when they travel to UW-Whitewater, Saturday, Oct. 17.
