Blue Devils fall at UW-Oshkosh, 1-0, after outshooting Titans

OSHKOSH (September 27, 2014) - For the second straight game, UW-Stout outshot their opponent, but wound up on the short end of a 1-0 decision. This time, the Blue Devils lost at UW-Oshkosh in a Saturday afternoon contest on JJ Keller Field at Titan Stadium.

The Blue Devils (2-5-2, 1-1 WIAC) outshot Oshkosh 14-10 overall and put seven shots on net compared to four for the Titans (5-3-1, 1-0-0 WIAC).

Oshkosh tallied the winning goal three minutes into the second half when Felicia Retrum scored down the center of the field from about 10 yards out..

Six different Stout players put shots on frame, but none could find the back of the net. The Titans have allowed only five goals throughout their nine games so far this season.

Page Meyer (Jr, Beldenville) recorded three saves for Stout. Nina Muzi recorded all seven saves for the Titans.

Stout will be home to begin a four-game homestand when they host UW-River Falls, Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 7 p.m. Stout hosts UW-La Crosse, Saturday, Oct. 4 at 2 p.m., Hamline University. Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. and UW-Superior, Friday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m.
