Daneille Lutz records win as Stout drops matches to strong Iowa teams

DECORAH, Iowa (August 30, 2014) - Danielle Lutz (So, Maple Grove, Minn) gave UW-Stout their lone win of the day with a 6-1, 4-6, 10-6 win at No. 6 singles as the Blue Devils lost a pair of matches to Wartburg College, 8-1, and to Luther College, 9-0, at Luther College.

Kesley Pedersen (So, Lake Elmo, Minn) lost a close 6-3, 6-4, battle at No. 4 singles to Wartburg's Liz Rucker. Emma Pedersen (So, Eau Claire) and Jenna Welke (Fr, Chippewa Falls) lost a close 9-7 match at No. 3 doubles to Wartburg's Rucker and Emma Friedly.

Stout put a different line-up on the card against Luther College. Welke lost a 6-3, 6-2, decision at No. 4 singles against the Norse's Jenna Myers. Madeline O'Neil and Ellen Miller fell with identical 6-2, 6-1, scores - O'Neil at No. 5 singles and Miller at No. 6.
 
Stout will play St. Ambrose University and Cornell College, Sunday in Davenport, Iowa.
