MENOMONIE (December 10, 2014) - Twenty-first ranked UW-Stevens Point came out shooting from all over the floor in Wednesday's 73-56 UW-Stout loss. The Pointers shot 52.6 percent from three point range and 57.7 percent overall from the floor, while Stout shot 38.5 percent from three point range and 46.5 percent overall. Jarvis Ragland (Sr, Milwaukee) led the Blue Devils with 17 points.

The two teams traded buckets until the Pointers (6-2, 3-0 WIAC) went on a 9-0 run midway through the first half. Stout (2-6, 0-2 WIAC) soon came back and brought the game within nine points, but that was the closest the Blue Devils would get the rest of the game.

The first half buzzer ended with Stevens Point on top 46-33.

The Pointers' hot shooting continued through the second half with a 9-3 Stevens Point run, building up to a 19 point lead. From there the Pointers were too much for the Blue Devils to handle. At one point, Stevens Point extended their lead to 22 points with about four minutes left in the second half.

Brett Ahsenmacher (So, Annandale, Minn.) added 10 points for Stout, while John Keefe (Fr, Medford) scored nine on 4-5 shooting from the field, and added three steals. Reggie Kujak (Jr, Blair) led the team with five rebounds.

The Pointers' Austin Ryf finished with a game high of 21 points and also added six assists. Joe Ritchay finished with 20 points. The Pointers out-rebounded the Blue Devils 29-19.

Stout will head to St. Paul, Minn. on Saturday Dec. 20 to take on the University of Northwestern Eagles at 5 p.m.
